Longtime viewers of The Young and the Restless will be getting a blast from the past this November when Julianne Morris Polaha reprises the role of Amy Wilson. Amy was best friends with Sharon Collins -- and a love interest for Nick Newman.
It's been 18 years since Polaha -- then just Julianne Morris -- last appeared in Genoa City. The actress played Amy from 1994 to 1996. But that wasn't the last time daytime fans had a chance to see her. From 1998 to 2002, Polaha starred as Greta von Amberg on NBC's Days of our Lives.
Since leaving the world of soaps more than a decade ago, Polaha has been focused on her family; she married actor Kristoffer Polaha in May 2003. The couple has three children: Caleb, 10; Micah, 8; and Jude, 3.
Soap Opera Digest reports that Polaha reported to the Y&R set for the first time today.
Her first airdate is scheduled for mid-November.
